The flagship SUV was scrapped in early 2020 when the Bharat Stage 6 emissions regulations came into force. While the SUV was slated to go on sale earlier, it has been postponed due to the challenges imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the current shortage of semiconductor chips. Nonetheless, the SUV returns as a true mid-life facelift with updated styling and a BS6 gasoline engine.

The local assembly of the Skoda Kodiaq 2022 began last month.
The restyled Skoda Kodiaq will sport a new multi-slat butterfly grille, thinner LED headlights, new LED daytime running lights (DRL), new fog lights, 20-inch alloys, LED taillights, new shock absorbers visor, and more. Inside, the SUV has the same cabin configuration, but the styling looks fresh. It also comes with a new multifunctional two-spoke steering wheel, updated 9.2-inch infotainment system and 10.25-inch dashboard, as well as optional massage seats.
