DUBAI, May 18, 2021 (WAM) – After holding it digitally in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Global Airport Leaders Forum (GALF) will be held for the 8th time at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) in May 24 to 26.
As a co-located event of the 20th edition of Airport Show, the world’s largest B2B airport industry event, the highly anticipated aviation industry gathering will see more than 50 speakers address attendees, at both physically and virtually.
Virtually will be Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the United Arab Emirates, and Major General Khalifa Ibrahim Al Saleis, CEO of the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA), established in 2016 to provide Dubai with the highest levels of safety and security.
The co-located show will take place over 12,000 square meters of exhibition space with expected attendees from at least 90 countries despite global travel restrictions as global aviation returns to normal. Other co-located events include the ATC Forum and Airport Security, as well as new conferences focused on the airport passenger experience and the digital transformation of airports.
Taking place under the high patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group, it will be the largest hybrid gathering of airport industry players after COVID -19 The pandemic has had a considerable impact on the entire aviation industry.

For the first time since the United Arab Emirates became the fourth Arab country to normalize its relations with Israel, senior officials from the Israel Airports Authority will attend the event and host a workshop titled “ Preparing for the Challenge of cybersecurity ” exclusively for participants.
